Roman Shades give you everything you want from bathroom window treatments since they are functional, practical, and make a beautiful statement. Vinyl Shutters

Shutters are the ultimate traditional and clean look.  They have a rustic feel and since they are vinyl, they won’t warp or crack like wood.  Maybe I’ve seen too many images of big, beautiful Southern mansions, but shutters look opulent and always give the room a finished look.  And why can’t my bathroom look chic and well dressed too?!  If you’d like more natural light to seep through, use shutters like café curtains and install them solely on the lower portion of your window.

Landscaping Ideas for Small Front Yards

Designing the front yard is very important. It gives to the house great look. You can decorate your front yard with flowers, grass, rocks and a lot of other creative stuff.

Front yards are very important because first impressions are formed by what people see, even when they are only passing by. Most front yard landscaping ideas are determined by the effect one wishes to present to others. This is determined by the location, size, and other design aspects of the house and what the owner wishes to emphasize. There are many different things that are available to the designer, color, along with size and shape of plants and trees, as well as texture of leaves.

Size It Right

Small front yard landscapes are all about proportion. Think of your small front yard as the collar and your home as the shirt. If plants or trees are too tall, they can overwhelm the front of your home. The landscape and hardscape should match the scale of the house – and complement its façade. Ornamental trees such as cypress can be used to "mask" or hide parts of the front of your home you want hidden or create a privacy wall. Cutting a large tree from the front of your yard might diminish shade but also reveal and enhance your home’s character and style.

Add Plants & Shrubs

This area of landscape gardening will have ideas following through your mind. For the foundation planting, choose plants of mature height to avoid them growing above your windows. Evergreen shrubs are the best option to go for. Perennials are yet another option, as they bloom year after year and do not require much maintenance. People, who are wanting for a different and new look each year, can go for annuals that give a burst of color for just one season. Try using fruit or dogwood trees, since they are beautiful to look at and produce sweat calming scents. Line up flowerbeds along the sidewalk or pathway to the front door to accentuate the front yard. Colorful flowers in beds will make your home look friendlier and pleasurable.

Color Your Landscape Garden

Embellish your garden with colorful flowers, shrubs and trees. These beautify and add color and style to any front yard landscaping. To add a splash of color to your front lawn, try showy plants that produce red leaves. You can have trees and shrubs with colorful products like red berries or blue berries to adorn the front yard. These would make the entire space look lively and appealing.

Create Visually Pleasing Displays

Have a pond or a small limestone fountain for a peaceful addition, along with some bricks or stones, to form the border or foundation. A bird house or a bird bath can also make an attractive and interesting visually stimulating object. Have a separate place for sitting, such as benches, tables and accent pieces under a tree to create a warm comfortable look. Place few potted plants and shrubs around the benches to make a perfect outdoor place for family and friends.
